The mission

Started August 2026

Turtlevania Games gives twenty percent of what it earns to memory disease research. It comes off the top, before anyone here gets paid.

Off the top is the part that matters, so here is what it means. When a game earns money, the twenty percent comes out first. Whatever is left is what gets split between the company and the people who built it. Nobody sits down afterward and decides what counted as profit.

donated so far. It says zero on purpose, and you can watch that change.

Why this is here

This started as one person's pledge out of his own share, because a company with more than one owner in it was not his alone to promise. In August 2026 the studio agreed to do it as a company instead, and we are writing it into our operating agreement so it is not just something we said.

Memory disease is the reason. The personal side of that belongs to the person it happened to, and he tells it himself on his own site rather than here.

Nothing has moved yet

We are not asking anyone for money. There is no foundation to give to and no donate button, and there is not going to be one on this page. The only money moving here is ours, going out.

Nothing has been donated yet, because the recipient has not been chosen and we would rather be slow about that than fast. When money moves, it gets listed publicly the same day: the date, the amount, who received it, and why they were picked.

There is one public ledger, and it is deliberately not on this page. Some of the money is the studio's and some of it is Andrew's personally, and splitting the record in two would mean two numbers nobody could reconcile. One list, every dollar, whichever pocket it came out of.

What this is not

This is not medicine. Nothing we build treats, slows, or prevents any disease, and we are never going to say otherwise. We make games. The people working on cures are researchers, and our job is to fund them.

This is not a marketing campaign. It costs us money, it comes off the top before we are paid, and the ledger will show whether we actually did it. If it stays at zero, you will be able to see that too.

If you know something we do not

The one thing we could genuinely use is a pointer. If you know a research organization that actually moves toward cures, tell us about it. We are going to read the evidence and publish the reasoning next to whatever we pick, so a suggestion is a starting point rather than a vote.
